    World Population Day

    At SBS our learners are given opportunities to celebrate the United Nations days with other children from around the world. World Population Day is a global observance that raises awareness about the pressing issues related to population growth, reproductive health and sustainable development. Our P4 students researched the effect of growing populations on different countries and looked at how culture and environments are impacted. They presented their findings to their peers.

    PYP Professional Development Day

    Last Saturday 15th of July, the PYP team of leaders and teachers met for a professional development day. At SBS we believe our teachers are the most important resource in bringing out the very best in our children. The continuous professional development of our team of teachers and teaching assistants is essential if we are going to, not only maintain standards but advance the quality of learning and teaching across the school. We appreciate the dedication and commitment of our teachers to give up their Saturday to facilitate their growth and development.

    Friendship Parade

    To finish our wellness month, our littlest students from Toddler to P2 joined together in their Colour House teams to celebrate the importance of Friendship. Their Anti-Bullying Day message was one of respect, caring, tolerance, and togetherness as they paraded around the campus. In preparation they created their own posters, slogans, and chants about what Friendship means to them. It was an empowering experience and their message of unity rang loud and clear throughout the school. Great job everyone!!!!

    Student Council Elections

    Democracy was in full swing today as our Primary and Secondary students went to the polls to vote for their student council for 2023. With the canvasing completed, policies outlined, and the promises made, the power now rests with the electorate. The votes are being tallied and the results will be announced early next week. We thank all the candidates for their efforts over the last few weeks. The policies presented demonstrate your values and a desire to make a different in the lives of every SBS student. You are a credit to our school and we wish you good luck as the count begins.

    Anti Bullying Day – Unity Parade

    To bring our Wellness Month to a close, the students of SBS celebrated Anti bullying Day with a various activities that were integrated into the first Colour House meeting of the year. Every student at SBS is assigned a colour house when they join the school. The colour houses represent our values and through collaborative events across the year, students develop teamwork skills, build unity, community and a positive school spirit.

    Student Spotlight: University Acceptance Miki and Jenny

    SBS Secondary school offers an International Bilingual Education which means we have the resources to prepare our students for both National and International universities. We celebrate the continued success of this years graduating class by congratulating Ms. Kanyalak Kunlimratchai (Miki) and Ms. Supitcha Ditprasert (Jenny) on their University acceptance. Miki will study Psychology at Kasetsart University while Jenny will study Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) at Thammasat University. Well done. We are very proud of you both for achieving your goals!!

    Parent Orientation Day 2023

    Special thanks to all our SBS Community Members that joined our us for our Parent Orientation Day. It was great to see so many friendly faces, and lots of new faces too, at both the onsite and online sessions. We were happy to have such a great turn out. The Parent Orientation is an important day to start the new year. Parents have the opportunity to learn more about the International programmes of education at SBS, while also getting updates on the new campus developments implemented during the holidays. Getting up to date information on daily routines, class schedules, and of course meeting the teaching teams makes for a very special day.

    SBS is a Cambridge International School We continue our Student Spotlight series with a celebration of University Acceptance for two of our outstanding M6 students.     Design and Technology in our 21st Century Makerspace

    Year 7 students have been learning about hand tool safety. At the same time, they are also gaining knowledge about the various types of hand tools and how they can be used for any kind of work. Hand tools are essential for day-to-day jobs, so this experience with the various tools, and the safety measures when using them, should serve our young students really well in their future.

    Student Spotlight: Por (M3A)

    We are proud to share the magnificent achievement by Por from M3A in the Isuzu Youth Relations 2023 Digital Art competition ‘Energy Saving to Reduce Global Warming’. Por successfully passed the first round and is now through to the final round in this Digital Art competition. She received a prize of THB10,000, as well as a plaque courtesy of Isuzu Thailand.
